Udinese terminates contract of forgotten Nigerian striker Isaac Success
Top-flight Italian Serie A side Udinese has decided to part ways with forgotten Super Eagles striker Isaac Success after the player spent no fewer than three years at the club.
The move to terminate the contract of the 28-year-old player was announced in a statement issued by Udinese on Tuesday which revealed that the move was consensual by both parties.
Udinese also used the medium to thank the player who joined them from Watford FC in 2021 for his services and wished him all the best in his future endeavours.
“Udinese Calcio announces that it has reached and signed an agreement for the consensual termination of the contract with the footballer Success Isaac,” reads the statement.
“Thanks to him for the years spent together and best wishes for the professional future.” The statement concluded.
On 1 July 2016, Success agreed on a five-year deal with Watford for a record transfer fee, estimated at around £12.5 million from Granada. He scored once in 19 appearances in the 2016–17 season and after just one appearance in 2017–18 was loaned to Malaga on 31 January 2018.
On 26 August 2021, Success who started his football career at BJ Football Academy in Benin City and later played for Spanish club Grenada signed for Italian club Udinese on a three-year deal.
