Stefano Pioli, the coach of Italian Serie A side AC Milan, has declared that he is delighted with Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze‘s recent improvements in performance.
Pioli, who made the disclosure in a recent interview with Football Italia, said that he is looking forward to the winger’s improved performance in their next game against Leece.
According to him, Chukwueze’s recent stats collected in the last three days in competitive games and in training are superior to those from his time with Spanish club Villarreal.
“I am delighted with Chukwu. My collaborators showed him some videos today, and the stats we collected in the last three games are even superior to those from his time at Villarreal,” he was quoted by Football Italia.
‘‘He is fit, physically and mentally. He must continue like this. He has important characteristics for the attack.” Pioli noted.
This comes days after Portuguese striker Rafael Leao praised Chukwueze after his impressive performance against Fiorentina in a Serie A game played last Saturday evening.
Recall that Chukwueze put up a sterling performance as his team, AC Milan, beat Fiorentina 2-1 in an away game played at the Artemio Franchi Stadium.
Leao credited the Nigerian international with contributing to the victory, which turned out to be one of his best performances since joining the Italian giants from Villarreal in the summer.
