SA to Governor on Education Announces OGSG’s Plan to Train Artisans on Functional Literacy

Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, the Special Adviser to the governor on Education, Science and Technology, stated that the Ministry will assist the Artisans group in the State by organizing regular training programs on functional literacy to enhance productivity.

He made this known in Abeokuta during a courtesy visit to the Artisans Association of Nigeria (AAON), Ogun State chapter.
Arigbabu confirmed that the government will involve AAON members in school rehabilitation, renovation, maintenance, furniture supply, and more. Additionally, zero-interest loan facilities will be provided to support their business ventures.

Mr. Anthony Ayodele, President of AAON Ogun State chapter, expressed gratitude to the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led Administration for their consistent support. He assured continuous collaboration with the Ministry for Technical and Vocational training.

During a courtesy visit, the Ogun State Federation of Muslim Women Association in Nigeria pledged ongoing support to the government in introducing innovative initiatives for the development of women, children, and society as a whole.

The State Ameerah of the female Islamic group highlighted their contributions to the education sector, including donations of furniture and teaching materials to schools across the State.

In response, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Science and Technology, expressed gratitude for their support in improving the standard of education. He assured government support for the development of all citizens of Ogun State, regardless of their religious background.
