Roma considers Terem Moffi’s purchase as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku
Italian Serie A side Roma are considering a move to secure the services of Nice attacker Terem Moffi as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku who is returning to his parent club, Chelsea.
Per a report published by LaRoma24.it, Roma are looking for a new forward to lead the line for them in the new campaign and has lined up Moffi to lead the line for them next season.
This comes weeks after Il Mattino claimed, via Tutto Napoli, that Moffi is being evaluated as a potential replacement for Victor Osimhen of Napoli. The 24-year-old was a member of the Super Eagles team that placed second at the African Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
The value of Moffi, who has scored no fewer than 11 goals and provided two assists in 26 league games for Nice this season, is reported to be around €30 million.
French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly decided to pay the €120 million release clause inserted in the Nigerians’ current contract with Napoli.
The Nigerian may be heading to France, according to a report by Il Mattino, as the Italian media outlet stated that the French powerhouses were prepared to fulfil Nigeria’s release clause.
“Victor Osimhen is close to signing for PSG this summer! The French club has decided to pay his release clause of €120 million,” the publication wrote in a recent report.
