Rangers coach Philippe Clement charges Cyriel Dessers to improve his finishing skills
Philippe Clement, the coach of Scottish Premier League club Rangers FC has urged Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers to improve his poor finishing which let his team down last week.
Recall that Celtic defeated Rangers 3-0 on Sunday with goals from Daizen Maeda, Kyogo Furuhashi, and Callum McGregor, with Dessers missing two glorious chances during the game.
Clement who spoke moments after the game faulted Dessers for his poor finishing during the game but he promised to help his team to patch the rough edges he had spotted.
He noted that Rangers started the game against Celtic positively but lacked clinical finishing to win.
“We started the game well, we had the best of the ball in the first ten minutes and got two really good opportunities, with Cyriel coming free in front of the goal and with Rabbi’s free header there,” Clement said.
“So you need to be clinical in those games and to come in front changes the momentum. It would have helped the team a lot to go in front there.”
