Spanish tactician Pep Guardiola has commented on his future as coach of Manchester City and the possibility of adding new players to his squad next season.

He noted that he has been at Man City for eight years and is not going to remain at the club for another eight years if he stays much longer, it has to be the right decision.

Pep said; “I am NOT ruling out absolutely that I sign a new contract at City”.

“I said I am closer to leaving than leaving City… but I did not say I am leaving City.

“I want to be sure it’s the right decision not just for me but for the players

“I have been at Man City for eight years. So I’m not staying here for eight more years, so I’m closer to leaving than staying! But I didn’t say I’m leaving…”

On the possibility of signing new players ahead of next season, Pep disclosed that Man City may sign a new player if anyone leaves the club but will remain the same if no one leaves.

He said; “More signings after Savinho? Right now, no…”.

“If someone leaves at the end, maybe. But if no one leaves, I think we’ll stay as we are”. Pep concluded.
