Ogun State Governor Eulogizes Late Agura of Gbagura at Fidau Prayers
The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has eulogized the late Agura of Gbagura, Oba Sabur Babajide Bakre Jamolu II, at the Eight Day Fidau Prayers. The Governor praised the late monarch for his peaceful reign and the development he brought to the community. He also expressed his condolences to the family of the late Oba and prayed that God would grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
Oba Sabur Babajide Bakre Jamolu II, who was a respected Senior Officer of the Nigeria Customs before his retirement, passed away on June 13th, 2023. During his short reign as the Agura of Gbagura, he brought about peaceful coexistence and harmony among the people of Gbagura. He was well-respected and highly revered by his people.
At the Fidau Prayers, the Governor thanked the family of the late Oba for sharing him with the people of Gbagura and prayed that God would rest his soul. He also reassured the people of Gbagura that his administration would continue to work with them to ensure that the community remains peaceful and prosperous.
