NPFL Withdraws Beyond Limits Academy’s Participation in 2024/2025 Season, Awards Slot to Heartland FC

The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has announced that Beyond Limits Football Academy will not participate in the 2024/2025 season due to concerns regarding dual ownership.

The academy’s ownership is also linked to Remo Stars, a club already competing in the NPFL, which constitutes a breach of Rule B11.4 of the league’s framework.

As a result, the slot previously held by Beyond Limits has been awarded to Heartland FC, who met the necessary criteria and expressed interest in filling the vacancy. The NPFL emphasized that no slot-buying transaction occurred, as such practices are prohibited under league rules.

The league’s decision aligns with Rule A5.2, which outlines the criteria for club participation. The NPFL board exercised its discretion to ensure a fair and competitive league, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
