Moses Simon undergoes successful surgery to correct a fractured leg
Versatile Super Eagles and Nantes FC winger Moses Simon underwent successful surgery to correct a fractured leg he sustained in the friendly match between Nigeria and Mali.
Recall that Simon was stretchered off the pitch following his collision with the Mali goalie during Tuesday’s friendly between Nigeria and Mali in Marrakech, Morocco.
The deadly winger, who has earned no fewer than 72 caps for Nigeria’s Super Eagles, was immediately taken to the hospital after colliding with Mali goalkeeper Mamadou Sammassa.
Simon, who has contributed three goals and six assists for Nantes this season, will not play for the rest of the campaign, according to a statement made later by his French team, Nantes.
In a fresh update, his club has now announced in a post on social media that Simon has successfully undergone surgery for the injury he sustained while he was on international duty.
Nantes will be concerned about their player’s injury. He will be recovering from surgery, which means he’ll be out for the rest of the season.
