Mikel Arteta talks up new deal with Arsenal, opens up on new signings
Mikel Arteta, the coach of English Premier (EPL) side Arsenal, talked about him signing a new deal with the London club and revealed the club’s plans for new player signings.
The Spanish coach who talked about both matters in a chat with ESPN said that things have not changed as he is happy and valued at Arsenal football club.
Arteta further stated that he loves representing the club and also noted that he wants things to happen naturally because his relationship with the club is good.
He said; “The thing that hasn’t changed is how happy I am and how valued I feel here and how much I love representing this club”. “Things happen naturally and our relationship is so good that I don’t predict any issues happening”, told ESPN.
While commenting on possible signings ahead of next season, Arteta stated that he is working with his team to improve every possible department of the team.
Arteta said: “We are looking to improve in every possible department”.
“With the new regulations, there are certain things we have to respect”.
“There are things that we have to improve, that’s for sure and we are going to try to,” he noted.
In a related development, Arsenal have now formally activated the buy option for David Raya from Brentford after paying £27 million to make the deal permanent.
And while commenting on the deal to sign the Spanish goalkeeper, Arteta said that Raya clearly showed last season what an important player he is to the club.
“David Raya showed us last season what an important player he is for us, so we are delighted he is now officially our player”.
“He is a big presence in our dressing room and we are pleased to keep working with him,” Arteta said.
