The Portuguese coach of the English Premier League (EPL) club Marco Silva has rated Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi as one of the best players of the club this season.
Silva who made the comments after Fulham defeated Crystal Palace 2-0 in Saturday’s Premier League game said that Alex Iwobi has been brilliant from day one of pre-season.
The coach also noted that he is happy with the connection that Alex Iwobi is creating with his fellow teammate Wilson which is doing wonders for the team.
Silva said; “He’s (Wilson) doing the right things. He’s not doing anything wrong to not start. He’s competing against very good players, too. Alex, for example, is one of the best players so far this season, if not the best. From the first day of the pre-season, he’s been so, so brilliant,” Silva said after the game.
“That connection that he (Wilson) is creating with Alex – it’s not the first time that we created a chance like that, and he did it again, and I’m really pleased for him.”
