Italian coach Stefano Pioli signs three-year deal as new Al Ittihad manager

Well-grounded Italian football manager Stefano Pioli has signed a three-year deal as the new manager of Saudi-pro league side Al Ittihad after he was sacked as coach of AC Milan.

Because of his extensive expertise, the club’s administration feels that Pioli is the ideal candidate to spearhead their new endeavour and ensure the team’s success.

After Marcelo Gallardo, the club’s previous manager was fired yesterday, July 2, Al Ittihad moved quickly to appoint Pioli in his stead to lead the club to greater heights.

‘‘Stefano Pioli signs a three-year deal as the new Al Ittihad manager!

‘‘Saudi’s back and Al Ittihad ready for a new ambitious era with the former Serie A winning manager at AC Milan.

‘‘Ittihad believes Pioli is the perfect choice for a new project.’’ Fabrizio Romano wrote on his X page.

Al Ittihad has a stellar roster that includes players who have established themselves in Europe, such as Fabinho, N’Golo Kante, and Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema.

Recall that the former Inter Milan, Fiorentina, and Lazio manager stepped down from his position as AC Milan head coach at the end of the last 2023-24 season.
