Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management Board Distributes 30,000 Exercise Books to Students/Schools in Iperu
Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management Board distributed 30,000 exercise books to pupils and students of schools in Iperu on Thursday, September 19, 2024. The event, held at Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Iperu, was well-attended by dignitaries, teachers, and students.
The chairman of Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management Board, Mr. Mofopefoluwa Joseph, FRM appreciated all those who came together and contributed to make the epic distribution a successful one.
“I urge all teachers and leaders in Iperu to collaborate with us towards achieving the goal of eradicating poverty through education. Let us work together to build a culture of responsibility and accountability.
My deepest appreciation goes out to everyone who has contributed to the success of this event. Special thanks to the President of Iperu Development Association, and the Alaperu of Iperu Akesan Land for their continuous support and encouragement.” The chairman said in his opening speech.
Elder Mofopefoluwa also recounted how much the Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management board has done, which includes; the construction of 4 toilets each at Ajagbe High School and Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Eradication of erosion problem at Wesley Primary School, Excursion with students and teachers to GTB Platinum Branch Ikoyi on Children’s Day this year, 4-month Vocational training in Solar Inverter System for 15 trainees and completed the training at Ogun State Polytechnic of Health and Allied Sciences, Ilese Ijebu. Among many other great achievements by the board.
Some schools in attendance for the distribution and collection includes; Salvation Army Primary School, St John Catholic Primary School, Wesley Primary School, Ansar-ud Deen Primary Sch 1, Ansar-ud Deen Primary School 11.
Others include;African Bethel Primary School, Ajagbe High School, Akesan Community Grammar School, Christ Apostolic Grammar School, St James Anglican Primary School and Social Development Institute Shasha
SSS/Institute.
Alhaji Otunba Taiwo Oyebanjo, president Iperu development association in his address appreciated all board members of Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management for the Initiative. However, he called on the government to also back up the activities of the education scheme, not for anything, but to ensure success among students in Iperu and ogun state at large.
“Our ultimate aim as an Education Board is to use education to eradicate poverty in Iperu while bringing peace, progress, and prosperity to the town. We plan to start 2-day a week extra lessons for primary one to six students in October 2024 to improve the educational performance of our students at competitive examinations.” Elder Mofopefoluwa reiterated.
Symbolic presentations were made for further distribution and collection in their respective schools and institution.
Mrs. Oluwakemi Banuso (representing Hon. Ronke Soyombo), board members, principals, liaison officers, parents, teachers and many other dignitaries were all in attendance.
