Ian Wright urges Arsenal fans to support struggling striker Gabriel Jesus
Arsenal legendary striker Ian Wright has urged fans of the club to rally around struggling Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus who has failed to score for the club in his last.
Wright who made the call on his podcast said that supporters of the club should not forget the contributions he (Gabriel) made when the going was good.
According to him, Gabriel Jesus who has won four Premier League titles was instrumental in raising the standards at Arsenal two years ago when he moved from Manchester City to the Emirates.
Wright said; “Can I just say something about Gabriel Jesus? I feel the need to support him right now. I know there’s a feeling that we may have outgrown him, but when Gabby came, he levelled us up. Arsenal are at a certain level now, but we will definitely need him at some stage. I think it’s important for Arsenal fans to support him.”
He noted further that the player is trying so hard at the moment to get back in form, so fans need to give him confidence because he has been through a clutch of situations in the past.
“He’s trying so hard at the moment, and we’re going to need him. We need to give him confidence because he’s been clutch in many situations before. Listening to the murmurings from fans, please back this guy. He wants to do well, and he needs support, he really does.”
