High Chief Ayuba Adeolu Agbelu Celebrates 70th Birthday, 30th Wedding Anniversary
On the 5th of October, chiefs, friends, children, and the residents of Idado Kingdom came out en masse to felicitate with High Chief Ayuba Agbelu, The Balogun of Idado, Offin Sagamu, on his 70th birthday and 30th wedding anniversary.
The event, held at the prestigious Akarigbo’s Hall, kicked off with the arrival of distinguished guests, who were warmly welcomed and ushered into the beautifully decorated hall. Special guests, including Engineer Alhaja and Alhaji Saheed, Engineer Salako, Olori Mojisola Soile (Queen of Idado Kingdom), and other esteemed personalities, were invited to the high table.
The celebrant, High Chief Ayuba Adeolu Agbelu, made a grand entrance, dancing onto the stage amidst cheers from the audience. This was followed by the “Celebrant: As I Know Him, ” segment where four distinguished individuals, selected for their close relationship with the celebrant, shared heartfelt testimonials about his life and character.
The highlight of the event was the cake-cutting ceremony where the celebrant’s initials, AAA (Ayuba Adeolu Agbelu) instigated the cutting. As the cake was cut, the audience sang “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow” after which came the popular wish “We wish you many happy returns…”
High Chief Agbelu then took to the dance floor for his first dance, surrounded by family, friends, and well-wishers. The audience was treated to an unforgettable music performance by Omooba Rilly1 Ayinde, whose music kept everyone grooving throughout the event.
The celebrant, overwhelmed with emotion, made a heartfelt toast, expressing gratitude to his loved ones, friends, and well-wishers for their support and presence. This was followed by the presentation of gifts.
The event drew to a close with a vote of thanks, after which the audience continued in the merriment of the occasion, dancing and celebrating with High Chief Ayuba Adeolu Agbelu.
