Dursun Aydın Özbek, the President of Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray FC is confident that Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen will fulfil the expectations of fans of the club.
Recall days ago that scores of Galatasaray football fans were on hand to give Osimhen a rousing welcome after he penned a season loan deal to join the Turkish Super Lig side.
With the Turkish transfer window closing on September 13, the 25-year-old still had a chance to leave Napoli after his failed moves to Chelsea and Saudi pro-league team Al-Ahli.
Later, on Monday night, September 2, Osimhen was fortunate enough to negotiate a loan agreement with Galatasaray that included no buy-back clause and full salary payment from Galatasaray for the duration of the one-year loan.
On his arrival in Turkey, the striker whose release clause will be €75m with Napoli option to extend until 2027 was mobbed by fans of the club who were on hand to see him for the first time.
Dursun Aydın Özbek expressed high expectations for Osimhen following his move from Napoli to Galatasaray.
“Galatasaray has very high expectations from him. I am sure he will meet these expectations,” he told the club’s official website.
