Football-loving Nigerian fans are hard to please —Victor Boniface
Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has suggested that Nigerian football fans are hard to please as they always have something to say about the team especially when the national team loses.
Boniface who gave the hint in a chat with the Nigerian media stated that even if Spanish coach Pep Guardiola is the coach of the Super Eagles, the fans will still have something to say.
The Bayer Leverkusen striker however stated that as a player, his job is to give his all on the pitch of play as he is not the type that cares about what people think or say.
“The truth is even if we bring Guardiola, Nigerians will still have something to say, but I’m the type of person that doesn’t care about what people think because we’re not here with the team.
“Our job is to give it all on the pitch, and that’s it. It’s life. People will always criticize. So, no matter which coach you bring, people always have something to say,” the former Union Saint-Gilloise striker told Football Fans Tribe in an interview.
Boniface is presently with the Super Eagles squad in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State, preparing for 2025 AFCON qualifying games against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
