Dapo Abiodun Leads APC Local Government Election Campaign in Iperu Remo, Welcomes Over 200 Former PDP Members
The executive governor of ogun state, Governor Dapo Abiodun on Wednesday welcomed over 200 former members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 3, Ita Osanyin, Iperu-Remo.
During the local government election campaign, Abiodun shared plans for a special empowerment initiative for women in Iperu through Oko’Owo Dapo.
Abiodun encouraged everyone to come out and canvass for APC’s victory, expressing gratitude to those who supported them in the last election. He acknowledged that some individuals were influenced by monetary offers to vote otherwise but emphasized the significance of their success despite opposition.
“Emphasizing the importance of local government as the closest form of governance to the people, we urged our members to mobilize votes at their units and polling stations, reinforcing our dedication to the welfare and progress of our communities” Dapo Abiodun said.
The governor reaffirmed his commitment to security, stating that any challenge to his administration’s resolve will be met with the full weight of the law.
He also emphasized the importance of local government as the closest form of governance to the people, urging APC members to mobilize votes at their units and polling stations.
