Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to advancing agriculture as a key strategy for grassroots development and economic growth.
During a meeting with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) officials, on Tuesday, led by the Acting Branch Controller, Jonathan Laburta, the governor outlined his commitment to promoting food production and security through widespread arable farming across the state.
Governor Mohammed highlighted several initiatives, including reducing workers’ hours to allow them to focus on farming, improving rural roads for better access to markets, and enhancing agricultural practices through training programs.
He acknowledged the positive impact of federal agricultural initiatives and commended the CBN’s role in revitalizing the sector.
Jonathan Laburta praised Bauchi State’s early adoption of CBN-facilitated fertilizer distribution and reaffirmed the bank’s ongoing support for agricultural programs that align with the state’s development goals.
