Akarigbo Joins Dignitaries for Block Laying Ceremony of Orimadegun of Araromi’s Proposed Palace
In a remarkable display of unity and support, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Dr Babatunde Adewale Ajayi Torungbuwa II, joined a host of dignitaries for the block laying/groundbreaking ceremony of the proposed palace for the Orimadegun of Araromi, Makun Sagamu, Oba Solomon Adegboyega Oguntade.
The event, held on Tuesday, December 12th, 2023, marked a significant milestone for the community of Araromi, as Oba Oguntade became the first king to be crowned in the region. With the decision to construct a palace, the king aims to foster development and prosperity within Araromi.
Among the distinguished guests were Oba Timothy Akinsanya, the Ewusi of Makun, Oba Adewale Osiberu, the Elepe of Epe, and the grand chief Imam of Remo, Alhaji Shehu AbdulQuadri Jinadu, along with numerous other royalties. The presence of these esteemed individuals highlighted the importance and support for Oba Oguntade’s vision.
Recall that On December 15, 2022, Oba Dr Babatunde Adewale Ajayi Torungbuwa II, LLB, LLM, FCA, FBIR, CFR the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland and also the Chairman, Ogun State Council of Obas installed (HRH) Oba Solomon Adegboyega Oguntade as the Orimadegun of Araromi. This has been followed by a lot of development in Araromi.
The ceremony was filled with vibrant cultural music, heartfelt prayers, expressions of gratitude, and rhythmic drumming, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration.
In his speech, the Akarigbo emphasized the significance of unity and encouraged the people of Araromi to rally behind their king, expressing confidence in his ability to bring about positive change and development to the land.
Oba Oguntade is known as a philanthropist, business guru who’s presently the owner of SOTAD Hotel situated along Sagamu – Benin Expressway in Sagamu. He’s friend to so many dignitaries within and outside Ogun State, he’s a business mogul and one of the captains of industries.
The construction of the proposed palace sets the stage for a new era of prosperity and cultural preservation under the leadership of the Orimadegun of Araromi, Oba Solomon Adegboyega Oguntade.
