Ajibade, Nnadozie Shortlisted for 2024 CAF Women’s Player of the Year
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the nominees for the 2024 Women’s Player of the Year award, with Nigeria’s Rasheedat Ajibade and Chiamaka Nnadozie making the list.
Ajibade and Nnadozie played key roles in the Super Falcons’ 2024 Paris Olympic Games campaign. Their impressive club performances also earned them recognition.
Ajibade contributed significantly to Atletico Madrid’s third-place finish in Spain’s Iberdrola league (2023/24), while Nnadozie’s outstanding goalkeeping helped Paris FC secure UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification.
Nnadozie previously won the Best Goalkeeper award at the 2023 CAF Awards. However, the duo are not the only ones on the list, they are joined by eight other talented African footballers.
The CAF Awards ceremony will honor outstanding African footballers and the winner will be announced at the event.
