Violent Cult Clash Claims Three Lives in Ogun State

In a gruesome outbreak of violence, three individuals have been killed in a brutal cult clash in the Ijoko area of Ogun State. Among the victims, Seun, an alleged member of the Eiye confraternity and a fuel attendant, was beheaded, with his severed head displayed on the Ijoko bridge.

According to Dailypost, the conflict reportedly escalated last Friday when Adisa, a suspected leader of the rival Aye cult, was killed and mutilated. According to sources, Adisa’s hand was severed in the attack, which triggered a violent retaliation from his group.

“On Friday, Adisa, the Aye leader, was killed and his hand cut off,” an anonymous source recounted. “In retaliation, members of Aye returned around 6 p.m. on Saturday and killed two Eiye members in a very brutal manner. They specifically targeted Seun, shooting him first and causing everyone nearby to flee. They then finished him off and beheaded him.”

The retaliation did not stop at Seun’s death. Witnesses report that the attackers took Seun’s body with them, leaving only his head at the scene, a macabre warning that has left the community in fear.

The streets of Ijoko are now deserted as residents stay indoors, fearing further violence. “The Ayes left only Seun’s head at the scene, taking his body with them. The streets of Ijoko are now deserted, with residents living in fear. Increased police presence is urgently needed,” the source added.

When contacted, Omolola Odutola, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Ogun State Police Command, stated that she had not been informed of the incident. “I don’t have the information, sir. If such happened, the DPO Ijoko Ota would have informed us,” Odutola said.
