Vincent Kompany informs Burnley about his agreement to become new Bayern Munich coach
Current Burnley manager Vincent Kompany has told his employers about his arrangement to become the new coach of top-flight German Bundesliga side Bayern Munch.
This was made known in a post shared on X by respected transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, who also informed that there are ongoing negotiations between Burnley and Bayern on compensation fee, with all proceedings claimed to be in order to reach the agreement soon.
Romano also stated that FC Bayern have discussed Kompany internally among possible candidates for the job, which has been left vacant following the departure of Thomas Tuchel.
‘‘Vincent Kompany has informed Burnley of his agreement with FC Bayern, as he really wants to join the club.
”Negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs on compensation fees, all proceeding in order to reach an agreement soon.’’ The journalist wrote on his X handle.
Recall that Tuchel decided not to continue as the manager of Bayern Munich, sticking to his earlier decision to leave the club at the end of the season.
Discussions were ongoing between the agent of the former Chelsea coach and Bayern officials at the club’s headquarters, with crucial points for Tuchel to stay on as Bayern coach worked out.
However, the well-travelled coach issued a statement saying that he will not continue as Bayern coach and is ready for a new challenge.
Tuchel said that his decision to step down at the end of the season as Bayern coach still stands as he was unable to reach an agreement with the club to stay on.
