Seasoned Dutch professional football manager and former player, Arne Slot, has confirmed that he will be the new Liverpool manager next season, replacing Jurgen Klopp.
The development was confirmed in a post shared on X by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, which stated that Slot had signed a contract to become the next Liverpool coach on Friday.
Romano stated in his post on the social media platform that the official announcement of Slot’s appointment will be made public at Liverpool’s desired time.
‘‘Arne Slot formally signs his contract as new Liverpool head coach today; all documents are in place.
‘‘The official announcement will follow with #LFC’s desired timing.
‘‘Work permits are still pending for some of his staff members, and then they will all be sealed.’’ Romano wrote on his X page.
This comes days after Slot expressed his readiness to become the next coach of Liverpool in a chat with ESPN and said that the English club is negotiating with his employers, Feyenoord, regarding the move.
He stated that his decision is clear, as he would like to become the next Liverpool manager, and he is waiting to see the outcome of negotiations between Feyenoord and Liverpool.
