Chance The Rapper and wife, Kirsten Corley announce divorce after five years of marriage
American rapper and songwriter, Chancelor Johnathan known professionally as Chance The Rapper, and his wife, Kirsten Corley have announced the end of their marriage after being together for five years.
The 30-year-old rapper and his wife tied the knot in March 2019. The couple share two daughters together.
They welcomed their first child together, Kensil, in 2015 when they were still dating. In September 2019, they announced that they had welcomed their second daughter named Marli.
The couple jointly announced their divorce on their Instagram story disclosing that they arrived at the decision after a period of separation.
According to the statement the couple shared, they will continue to raise their daughters together.
The statement reads,
“After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways. We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.
God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together. We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition.”
