PARIS 2024 QUALIFIERS: Ajibade, two others arrive camp ahead of game against South Africa
Captain of the Super Falcons of Nigeria Rasheedat Ajibade and two other players are among the early arrivals in camp ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Qualifiers against South Africa.
Goalkeeper Linda Jiwuaku and defender Jumoke Alani are the other players in camp, with the latter drafted in due to an injury to Ashleigh Plumptre, who is based in Saudi Arabia.
Veteran goalkeeper Tochukwu Oluehi, defender Shukurat Oladipo, Chidinma Okeke, and striker Gift Monday are the other players expected in camp today ahead of the game.
Recall that Bayana Bayana defeated Tanzania on an aggregate score of 4-0 to qualify, while the Super Falcons defeated the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon on a score of 1-0 to secure a position in the final round.
The Super Falcons would host the first leg at the Moshood Abiola Stadium on April 1, 2024, while the return leg would be played in South Africa eight days later.
The overall winner of the two-legged affair will secure a ticket for a flight to Paris in 2024, when the Olympics will take place in France from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
