Mikel Arteta reveals when Martin Ødegaard and Bukayo Saka will play again for Arsenal
Mikel Arteta, the coach of English Premier League (EPL) side Arsenal has revealed when Martin Ødegaard and Bukayo Saka will play again for the club.
The Spanish tactician who spoke with English media said that Ødegaard who got injured on international duty will be back with the squad before the November international break.
According to Mikel, the club has to be careful about rushing Ødegaard back to action because he is not ready yet to hit the ground running.
He said; “Confident about Ødegaard to be back before November international break? Yes”.
“We have to see next week. For the next game, he’s not ready yet”.
Arteta also gave a hint on the return dates for Thomas Partey, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz who are all nursing varying degrees of injuries.
He said; “Thomas Partey is fit and ready. For Gabriel Martinelli, same as Havertz; we will decide today”.
“Havertz could also be involved weekend if all goes to the plan in training”.
The former Manchester City assistant coach also talked about the return dates for Ben White, Jurrien Timber, Zinchenko and Bukayo Saka.
“Ben White, Timber and Zinchenko are quite close, we hope to have some positive news”.
“Bukayo Saka’s injury is not serious, he’s evolving very well and we are hopeful”.
