Kelechi Nwakali reveals why he decided to come back to England to continue his career

Super Eagles midfielder Kelechi Nwakali has told those who care to listen about why he decided to come back to England to continue his career as a footballer.

The talented player who opened up in a chat with the British media said that he decided to return to continue playing football because he has unfinished business in England.

Nwakali who opted to join League One club Barnsley FC on a three-year contract from top-flight Portuguese football club GD Chaves also noted that it has always been his dream to play in England.

“Of course, I had different options, such as going back to Spain, but I wanted to come back to England.

“It’s not unfinished business, but just to prove my worth again, and football is about moving around.”

Recall that after his fine performances at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in which he won the Golden Ball Award, Nwakali signed with English Premier League side Arsenal.

Nwakali later played for several top Dutch clubs including; VVV-Venlo, FC Groningen, MVV Maastricht, Portuguese club FC Porto, and Spanish sides SD Huesca, SD Ponferradina, and Chaves.
