FG Begins Distribution of Food Items to Flood Victims in Maiduguri – AgroNigeria
In a bid to alleviate the suffering of flood victims in Maiduguri, the Federal Government has commenced the official distribution of food items to victims in the state.
According to Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, a total of 100 trucks have been allocated for the exercise.
The relief materials, which include 50 trucks of maize, 30 trucks of sorghum, and 20 trucks of millet, are expected to bring succour to those affected by the recent flooding in the region.
The distribution exercise is part of the Federal Government’s efforts to support victims of natural disasters across the country.
Senator Kyari, who flagged off the distribution, assured that the government is committed to supporting affected communities and restoring their livelihoods.
