Three Suspects Arrested Over Kidnapping, Murder of 15-year-old Cattle Rearer in Ogun

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has apprehended three suspects in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a 15-year-old cattle rearer, Yahu Muhammad.

According to a statement released by the State Commander, Soji Ganzallo, on Monday, the suspects – Umar Muhammad, 24, Audu Muhammad, 22, and Umar Danda, 22 – were arrested for their alleged involvement in the kidnapping and murder of the teenager.

The victim was reportedly kidnapped while rearing cattle in the Akara forest area of Abeokuta North local government, and a ransom of N500,000 was collected. However, despite receiving the ransom, the suspects killed the victim.

The So-Safe Corps Special Squad was deployed to rescue the victim, but upon arrival at the kidnappers’ den, they discovered that the suspects had already killed the victim. The corpse and suspects have been transferred to the Imala Divisional Police Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution.
