A female corps member has sparked controversy online after she revealed the one-year mandatory, NYSC scheme bought her first car.
The corps member @samiat_of_zarasam shared a video of herself behind the wheel, heading to her monthly CDS. She noted that formal education isn’t a waste of time as she obtained her first car through NYSC.
She wrote,
“School no be scam, Nysc bought me my first car”
Responding to negative criticism, the lady retorted that she doesn’t expect Internet users to believe her revelation and she is prepared to answer any form of query.
Her revelation has triggered differing opinions with many speculating the lady was putting on a false display with her boyfriend’s or dad’s car.
Social media users wondered whether it was the same NYSC ₦33,000 allowance that bought her expensive car.
