Ogun State Government Vows to Expedite Completion Of Road Projects Post-rainy Season
The Ogun State Government has pledged to fast-track the completion of all ongoing road construction projects immediately after the rainy season. This assurance was given by Babatunde Adesina, Special Adviser and General Manager of Ogun State Public Works Agency, during a recent radio program in Abeokuta.
Adesina emphasized that the government has meticulously perfected all necessary logistics and preliminary work, ensuring a seamless delivery of quality road infrastructure. He accentuated and commended the recently launched reconstruction of the Lagos-Abeokuta express road.
In the same vein, the state government has already made significant strides in completing various road projects, including the Elite-Lantoro, Immigration-Prof. Wole Soyinka, and Fajool-Alogi-Gbonogun roads, among others. Adesina urged residents to exercise patience, explaining that road construction entails multiple stages, including planning, fieldwork, and sub-structure stages.
Residents have expressed gratitude for the government’s efforts, with Aralamo Bashiru from Olokuta community lauding the palliative measures applied to the Kemta-Olokuta Road and appealing for swift rehabilitation. Similarly, Mrs. Ibikun from Ayetoro called on the government to expedite the repair of the Alamala-Ayetoro Road.
