Victor Orta, the Sporting Spanish club Sevilla FC has revealed that Kelechi Iheanacho showed a lot of will to come to the club which made them speed up his signing.
He disclosed in a recent chat that they have been working on different options but they were happy that the people around the player (Iheanacho) saw a lot of possibility of his becoming a success in Spain.
“We always work with several options, there was a moment when Iheanacho showed a lot of will to come and that made us speed up,” Orta told the club’s official website.
“The people around him saw a lot of possibility of success in the Spanish league and I am very happy about that.”
Moments after signing the dotted lines for the club, Iheanacho declared that he hopes to achieve great things ahead of the next Spanish La Liga league season.
The 27-year-old player, in his first interview after joining the club, emphasized that he has no personal goals and that the team is the most important focus.
“Kelechi, who joined Sevilla as a free agent, emphasized that he and his teammates must give their all in every game to be at the top of La Liga.”
“I don’t have personal goals. I may have a goal for myself, but the most important thing is the team itself, my teammates,” he told the club’s official website.
“Together we can achieve great things this season. We have to give one hundred per cent in every game.
“We have to give our best in every game, without complacency, we will be at the top of the table and go very far this season.” The player added in part.
