Akarigbo Warns Against Protests in Sagamu, Cites Devastating Aftermath of Previous Unrest

The Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo Land, Oba Dr. Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Torungbuwa II, has issued a stern warning to indigenes and residents of Sagamu against engaging in any form of protest or unruly act.

The warning comes as a precautionary measure to prevent a repeat of the devastating aftermath of the last protest in Sagamu, which resulted in the vandalization and destruction of banks, properties, and other infrastructure.

In a general announcement from his office, the Akarigbo reminded the people of Sagamu of the months-long recovery process from the previous unrest and urged them to avoid any actions that could lead to similar consequences. He called on community leaders, parents, and guardians to warn their residents and children to desist from all forms of protest and maintain peace in the area.
