Fisayo Dele-Bashiru lands in Rome for Lazio medical ahead of loan move
Nigerian international, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru landed in Rome on Friday night ahead of his Lazio medical. Upon arrival, he was photographed at the airport and is scheduled to undergo testing this Saturday.
After completing his medical, the 23-year-old midfielder, who left Sheffield Wednesday to join Turkish Super Lig team Hatayspor as a free agent last summer, is anticipated to sign a deal.
Dele-Bashiru will sign a €2 million loan deal with Italian team Lazio, with an option to buy for an additional €4 million at the end of the campaign.
Hatayspor is eager to sell the player but will demand roughly €10 million to €7 million from any team interested in signing the gifted player, according to Turkish news source Sports Digitale.
The 23-year-old midfielder, who can also play in central midfield, has been linked to AC Milan and PSV Eindhoven. Now Lazio has joined the competition.
Lazio’s coach Igor Tudor is eager to finalize the deal before the team’s preseason competition, as he sees the Nigerian as key to the team’s upcoming campaign.
