Anthony Joshua urges Tyson Fury to fight him now while they are both still ‘fresh’
British-Nigerian professional boxer Anthony Joshua has urged Tyson Fury to fight him now that they are both still fresh and agile enough to face off with each other in the ring.
Joshua who made the call in a chat with BBC Sport on Thursday said that he will not sit and wait for his fight with Fury which has been on the cards for a long time.
The boxer also wondered aloud about how many wars he needs to fight before he gets to fight Fury.
“Let’s just get the fight on while we’re fresh – how many wars do I have to have before I get to Fury? Let’s go,” Joshua said.
Negotiations have stagnated over the super-fight, which has been suggested for several years and might be the greatest and most profitable matchup in the division. Joshua suggested that he might not be able to hold off much longer.
“It’s a fight that’s been brewing for a long time,” Joshua during the chat with BBC Sport.
“I can’t wait until I’m 50 to fight Fury because I’d have had so many wars, I can’t sit around and wait, I’ve got to continue to fight.” He added.
