Kevin De Bruyne hints he may consider move to Saudi pro-league
Manchester City and Belgium midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has given the biggest hint yet that he may consider moving to the Saudi pro league sometime in the future.
The 33-year-old international player mentioned that a possible draw to the Middle East could be a rise in pay as he is not getting any younger as a professional footballer.
De Bruyne said that if he plays in the Saudi pro league for two years, he will earn an incredible amount, which he has not earned professionally as a footballer for 15 years.
“If I play in Saudi for two years, I’ll be able to earn an incredible amount…”.
“Before that, I had to play football for 15 years and I may not even reach that amount yet”.
“You have to think about what that could mean next,” he told @HLN_BE
The player said that at his age, he would be open to everything, as a move to Saudi Arabia would present him with an incredible amount of money in the last stage of his career.
De Bruyne said; “Saudi? At my age you have to be open to everything”.
“You’re talking about incredible amounts of money in the last stage of my career, you have to think about that”.
“For my wife, an exotic adventure is okay. I have to think about my future,” he told @HLN_BE
